Dahlias are an absolute favourite at Petersham Nurseries, they are always the highlight of the cutting garden throughout the summer months, and therefore can be spotted in vases decorating the entire nursery. We also always stock a great selection of Babylon Dalia tubers, they will be available to buy in the shop very soon.

We have actively eradicated the use of peat compost and all toxic chemicals from our range of fertilisers, pesticides and conditioners. Our emphasis is on the use of natural materials and substances which will positively contribute to the preservation of local biodiversity.
 
Organic fertilisers we stock include:

Bedding Plan Fertiliser (750g), Root Veg & Onion Fertiliser (1kg), Tomato & Cucumber Fertiliser (1kg), Rose Fertiliser (1kg) all of which are from the ‘Growing Success’ Organic range (£3.50/ each).
 
From the Miracle-Grow Organic range we have Choice Plant Food, Fruit and Vegetables Plant Food, All Purpose Plant Food, Azalea Camellia & Rhododendron Plant Food. All 6kg at £6/ each.
 
Pesticides include ‘Bayer Garden’ Organic Pest Control (£8 for 1L) amongst many others.

Petersham Nurseries Cafe thrives itself on using seasonal produce, and despite entering Autumn our kitchen garden is abundant with broccoli, chard, cabbages as well as winter salad that has been growing in troughs. October is also the time to harvest your onions and garlic. Following spring`s sensational tulips, alliums and sweet peas are in bloom in our experimental cutting garden this month. Our show-stopping dahlias will follow soon. Limited cut flowers from the Cutting Garden are periodically available to buy from the shop while in season. Our full range of Home Grown dahlias is on display and sale throughout the nurseries - please select yours early to avoid disappointment.

The Nurseries has many plants in stock at the moment which would fill in any gaps! These include Fuchsias, Echinacea purpurea with Nicotiana sylvestris arriving in 3 weeks. Come along and have a look.
